Black Friday UK & Europe airline flight sales 2026 - what to expect
We refresh this article every year with new predictions, so you can have a better idea of what to expect by the time the next Black Friday sale comes around!
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are on their way once again… but is it all hype, or do airlines really make it worth the wait?
Since we’re the experts in finding great value flights, and we’ve been tracking prices for ten years now, we’re in a good place to know. The short answer is that yes—for many airlines, it’s a great time to buy.
That being said, lots of us have felt the pressure of tightening our purse strings over the past couple of years, and the airlines aren’t any different. They’re also out to save as much money as possible, especially with the jet fuel price hikes we've seen in 2026, so it makes it much harder to know what to expect.
The past does not predict the future, but it definitely gives us some useful clues and can point you in the right direction.
Last year, we saw a huge increase in the number of airlines announcing Black Friday sales - more than double what we had spotted in 2024. On top of that, we also saw a 12.5% increase in the number of airlines throwing separate Cyber Monday sales, and 100% more jumping on the Travel Tuesday bandwagon. And we're sure it won't surprise anyone to learn that over the general Black Friday period, Ryanair managed to take the crown for "Most Individual Sales" with a total of five different promotions.
Overall, we sent out more Flights in one week during Black Friday 2025 than we ever have before. Black Friday truly has become the Super Bowl of the airfare market.
Read on to find out what kind of flight deals we’ve seen in past Black Friday sales, and see more of our predictions for what to expect in 2026.
We’re focusing on the sales you'll see in the UK and mainland Europe below, but if you're across the pond, check our guides to US Black Friday sales and Canadian Black Friday sales as well. May the price drops be ever in your favour :-)
Heads up: At Jack’s Flight Club, we have our own exacting standards for what counts as genuinely good value. We’re not interested in airline sales advertising fares above their usual lows.
If you’re loyal to a particular airline that you don’t see here, it might be because their sales are only cheaper compared to their own historical fares. We focus on sharing the cheapest flights overall, comparing the entire market

Aegean Airlines
Aegean is one of the veeerry few airlines to limit their sale to one day only, in contrast to lots of other airlines on this list.
They have repeatedly held some of our favourite sales over the past few years, with serious reductions on a bunch of Greek islands. Plus, they get extra brownie points from us for still including a full-size cabin bag (and a hot meal!) in their short-haul economy fares.
Note: If you’re aged 18-25 you’ll be able to get an additional 15% off any sale fares through Aegean’s GenAIRation program.
Through the years
2023: Flights to Greece and Cyprus in £90s-£170s rtn from the UK/€70s-€140s rtn from mainland Europe.
2024: Flights to Greece and Cyprus in £100s-£150s rtn from the UK/€80s-€190s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Flights to Greece in £70s-£150s rtn from the UK/Flights to Greece, Turkey, and Egypt in €60s-€240s rtn from mainland Europe.
What to expect in 2026
I think it’s safe to say Greece is a given at this point. However, it’s likely that we’ll see more Turkey and Egypt included this year (hopefully from the UK too this time), as they’ve been discounted in sales the airline has run throughout the year.
Aer Lingus
Ireland’s airline isn’t just for trips from Ireland. Their connecting flights to airports across the UK make them a compelling way to fly to the US & Canada, especially thanks to the security preclearance in Dublin.
They’ve focused their Black Friday sales mainly on routes to the US, Canada, and the Caribbean over the past few years, however the controversial closure of their Manchester base in early 2026 means our beloved Manchester - Barbados route is no longer on the cards.
They were the first of the big flag carrier airlines to launch their Black Friday sale last year. Prices were fairly mediocre, but we did appreciate how many of the routes included Christmas and New Year’s Eve dates. They also followed up with a little Travel Tuesday sale, which mainly focused on short-hauls from Dublin.
Through the years
2019: Australia from Dublin in €670s-€750s, connecting to a Singapore Airlines deal from London.
2020: USA & Canada from across the UK in £370s-£400s, including checked luggage.
2021: The Caribbean, USA & Canada from across the UK (£230s - £380s) & Ireland (€180s-€400s).
2022: USA, Canada and the Caribbean (specifically Barbados and Puerto Rico) from the UK (£330s-£490s) and mainland Europe (€390s-€480s). Included super-cheap checked baggage upgrade (£10-£15).
2023: USA, Canada and mainland Europe from the UK (£40s-£490s) and mainland Europe (€60s-€450s).
2024: USA, Canada, mainland Europe and Barbados from the UK (£50s-£370s rtn) and from mainland Europe (€50s-€430s rtn).
2025: Across the US, Canada & Europe in £50s-£570s & €60s-€440s from the UK & Ireland and €60s-€490s rtn from mainland Europe.
What to expect in 2026
In 2023 they launched early, in 2024 they launched (relatively) late, in 2025 they launched first, so maybe we’re in for a late start this year.
We’ve seen quite a lot of sales from this airline throughout the year, many of which were similar prices to their offering last Black Friday. So while we wouldn’t pin our hopes on seeing anything too revolutionary from them this year, it’d be nice to have some peak dates included in the sale, which has been lacking so far this year.
Air Caraïbes
Air Caraibes usually does something similar to their rival airline, Corsair. But last year, we think they came out on top with some extra rare fares over to French Guiana. The trips did span the duration of the rainy season, though we were still happy to see them given how rare cheap fares there are.
We also noticed an additional fun feature on their website where you could ‘spin a wheel’ to potentially win a promo code for even more money off your flight.
Through the years
2024: French Antilles in €350s-€360s rtn from Paris
2025: French Guiana at €599 rtn from Paris
What to expect in 2026
As excited as we were to see French Guiana pop up last year, they ended up undercutting themselves by about €50 in February, so we’d definitely like to see them match that price this sale season — or cheaper, we won’t complain!
If we get three wishes, we’d also like to have dry season trips included, and for them to bring back 2024’s French Antilles fares too. Please.
Air China
Since China re-opened to tourists, we’ve watched as the number of flights there has increased, while the prices have dropped.
That being said, Air China is one of the few Chinese airlines that has ever made a Black Friday appearance worth our attention. Like other Chinese airlines, they still offer a checked bag as standard too, which is a great perk.
Last year, although they didn’t brand it as a ‘Black Friday sale’ they did launch a sale on the Friday that included some pretty incredible fares across Asia from the UK.
Through the years
2023: *free bag* Taipei City in €430s-€440s rtn from Frankfurt.
2024: Offered up to 10% off flights, but still too expensive for our standards.
2025: Japan, Vietnam, Thailand & more in £270s-£370s rtn.
What to expect in 2026
We’ve seen more great fares from the airline throughout the year to right across Asia from the UK and mainland Europe, so we’d like to see the sale be worthy for both regions this year.
We’ve also seen more trips that don’t have a long layover recently, so hopefully that continues for their sale, and you don’t have to worry about the long layovers of old.
Air Corsica
Now, this is an airline that we really don’t cover often. Their non-stop fares from France, Belgium, and Germany to Corsica are usually too pricey for us to justify, but two years ago things changed. Well, for Belgium anyway!
Their routes from Charleroi dropped significantly, and with the free cabin bag included, it was enough to get our attention. Last year wasn’t quite as cheap as the time before, but with peak summer trips included, it was still decent enough for our Jack’s standards..
Through the years
2024: Corsica in €90s-€110s rtn from Brussels.
2025: Corsica in €100s-€140s rtn from Brussels.
What to expect in 2026
As usual, we haven't heard a peep out of Air Corsica since last November. So we’d be happy with a repeat of the previous years’ offerings, especially if there are more peak summer trips included.
And if we’re being optimistic, it’d be lovely to see fares from Paris and Munich pop down to a nice price too, rather than just Brussels. Come on, share the love!
Air India
Now this was an unexpected newcomer to the Black Friday scene in 2024! Technically, there wasn’t any mention of a Black Friday sale, only the vague promise of 20% off flights.
But that didn’t stop us finding some super cheap Asia trips. Just how cheap, we hear you ask? Well, cheap enough for The Detour Editor Katy to cave and buy flights to Vietnam for £455 rtn!
Once again in 2025, Air India popped up with a sale that showed no mention on Black Friday at all. Nevertheless, we did spot some of the cheapest fares from London to India that we’ve ever seen, so we certainly aren’t complaining.
Through the years
2024: India & Sri Lanka, Vietnam and more in £360s-£530s rtn from London.
2025: India in £400s-£470s rtn from London.
What to expect in 2026
Air India has been quite quiet these past few months, with just a handful of New Delhi fares popping up through the summer. Hopefully, this is a sign of them warming up for a big ol’ Black Friday drop with some of the Nepal fares we saw last year and maybe South East Asia like in 2024.
It’s worth noting that Air India’s non-stop rival IndiGo is suspending flights from London and Manchester this autumn, so the lack of competition could impact how low they reduce their fares.
Air Mauritius
Back in 2024 we were treated to cheap flights to both the main island of Mauritius and Rodrigues Island. In case you haven’t heard of the latter, it’s the last piece of land from Africa until you hit Australia…and it looks like this!
Unfortunately, the same could not be said for 2025. They did announce a sale, but prices were way up into the £700s!
Through the years
2024: Mauritius in £530s-£670s rtn from London.
2025: Announced sale, but too pricey for us.
What to expect in 2026
It’s now been 2 years since we last saw cheap economy fares with this airline, so frankly, our expectations are on the floor. But we’re not gonna lose faith in Air Mauritius, and with a bit of luck, those 2024 prices will make a comeback. Don’t let us down!
Air New Zealand
One of our favourite Black Friday sales used to be Air New Zealand’s, with their non-stop London to Los Angeles route always available at some ridiculous price. Unfortunately for us, they cancelled those flights during the pandemic, and haven’t revived them since.
They used to do a limited number of seats around £175 rtn. If you missed that, their regular sale price of around £330 rtn was still very good considering it came with hold luggage included.
The past few years they’ve not indulged us with a Black Friday sale on their flights to NZ, which is a crying shame since demand is high (and flight prices have been even higher).
They did surprise us the past 2 years with a sale, but fares were still way too high compared to what airlines like Singapore and Cathay Pacific offer.
Through the years
2017: Limited seats to Los Angeles at £175 rtn, then £339 rtn. 50 tickets to Auckland at £399 rtn
2018: Limited seats to Los Angeles at £175 rtn, then £310 rtn.
2019: Limited seats to Los Angeles at £179 rtn, then £319 rtn.
2020-2023 : No BF Sale.
2024: Black Friday sale announced, but still too pricey for us.
2025: Black Friday sale announced, but still too pricey for us.
What to expect in 2026
It’s not looking good, unfortunately. The airline did drop an end-of-summer sale this year, but the prices were a couple of hundred pounds more than we saw last Black Friday — and we already thought they were pricey!
It’s also likely that the increase in people looking for alternatives to flying through the Middle East to get to New Zealand will impact how much they’re willing to discount their fares.
That said, we live in hope…
Air Transat
This Canadian airline doesn’t have a long history of throwing Black Friday deals, but they did test the waters back in 2022 with, to put it nicely, an unimpressive offering. Prices just didn’t stack up against other airlines running between the UK and Canada.
They do announce sales now and again, though, and they can be very convenient for flights from London to Canadian cities like Quebec & Montreal, which have less competition from other airlines than Toronto.
Outside of London, we see cheap fares from Glasgow and Manchester to Toronto—which is exactly where they decided to focus the biggest Black Friday discounts last year. From Europe, it was a mix of non-stops to Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec.
Through the years
2019: Non-stop to Vancouver from London & Manchester in £350s-£360s rtn.
2022: They did have an announced sale in Canada, but we didn’t see any cheap fares on this side of the pond.
2023: No BF sale.
2024: Toronto from the UK (£320s-£370s rtn) and Across Canada from Paris (€310s-€380s rtn).
2025: Toronto in £370s-£380s rtn from the UK, and Across Canada from Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam in €330s-€420s rtn
What to expect in 2026
We’ve seen a lot of Air Transat throughout the year, with prices staying quite steady. They did, however, undercut their Black Friday fares from London in their January sale, with some fares around £100 cheaper!
I’d be pretty confident that we’ll see an appearance from them this year, and we’d love to see them include more Caribbean fares this year too — we saw Punta Cana from London in their summer sale.
AJet
You can think of AJet like Turkish Airlines’ little (low-cost) sister. And since ditching their free cabin bag last year (not cool), they’re now totally no-frills.
This is another airline who didn’t explicitly name-drop the words ‘Black Friday’, but we did catch them holding a maaaassive sale, with some of the cheapest trips to the Turkish capital that we’ve ever seen!
2025 did have a mixed bag, with the UK getting trips to Turkey, the Caucasus, the UAE, and beyond, however European departures weren't so lucky. Truly great fares only showed up for Istanbul and Ankara, with rival Turkish budget airline Pegasus majorly undercutting them on other routes.
Through the years
2024: Turkey in €70s-€190s rtn from mainland Europe/ £60s-£120s rtn from the UK
2025: Turkey, Georgia, UAE and more in £80s-£260s rtn and Istanbul & Ankara in €60s-€160s rtn
What to expect in 2026
Last Black Friday the airline still included a full-size cabin bag in their base fare, so it would be nice to see prices a little lower than in 2025. But chances are that’s just wishful thinking. Realistically? Probably a lot of Turkey.
Atlantic Airways
Cheap fares with the national airline of the Faroe Islands are fairly hard to spot—mostly because Atlantic's prices don’t always show up on Google Flights. But it’s worth taking the time to investigate anytime they do hold a sale because they usually discount their fares to a really nice price.
Note: The airline recently introduced a fare class that doesn’t include a checked bag... just in time for Black Friday. Coincidence?
Through the years
2024: Faroe Islands in €200s-€240s rtn from Denmark & Oslo/£190s-£250s rtn from Edinburgh.
2025: Faroe Islands in €200s-€240s rtn from Scandinavia
What to expect in 2026
Given they’re ditching the free checked bag on their cheapest fare, we’d like to see fares that are cheaper than last year. Like with AJet, this may just be wishful thinking, but hopefully the fares are still at a price that’s up to our Jack’s standards. Their summer sale certainly set new standards, with fares from Edinburgh as low as £156 return.
Avianca
Avianca’s Black Friday sales have been quite consistent these past few years, with reliably nice prices to Central and South America. They also tend to include cities we very rarely see from other airlines — like Monterrey, which made a comeback from London for the first time since pre-Covid.
Last year we also managed to make the most of their bargain fares from Madrid by sending out some 2-in-1 trips from across the UK & mainland Europe. We’re talking Luxembourg to Chile for €553 return, and Edinburgh to Mexico City for £445 return.
Through the years
2023: Non-stop to Colombia in £500s-£550s rtn from the UK.
2024: Central and South America from the UK (£520s-£620s rtn) and from Paris (€460s-580s rtn).
2025: Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and more in £400s-£590s rtn from London / Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, and Guatemala in €480s-€640s rtn from Paris.
We also sent 2-in-1 fares to Chile, Costa Rica, and Mexico in £420s-£520s rtn from across the UK / €540s-€630s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
We’ve seen some non-sale fares to a couple of really fun spots like the Galápagos Islands and the Amazon too this year, so if we could see those routes get discounted a bit further, Jack would be very happy :-)
Azores Airlines
When Hawaii is too expensive, the 'Hawaii of Europe' makes for a lovely, cheaper alternative, especially with Azores Airlines still offering a cabin bag (a real rarity these days).
2024 and 2025 saw Azores offer a discount code for 40% off, however, the only route that was good enough for us was non-stop from Paris. Although you can fly from other departure airports, those likely won’t be non-stop, and you can usually fly for less with competitors like TAP.
Through the years
2023: Ponta Delgada, Azores in €200s-€210s rtn non-stop from Paris.
2024: Ponta Delgada, Azores at €210s rtn non-stop from Paris.
2025: Ponta Delgada, Azores at €176 rtn non-stop from Paris
What to expect in 2026
There is 1000% chance that this year we will see cheap Paris trips to Ponta Delgada. Okay, maybe not 1000% chance, but if it doesn't happen, it will be the biggest airline shock this Black Friday. Other departures could be cheap enough, but we wouldn’t bet on it.
Azores Airlines' Black Friday sales the last two years have lasted only 1 day, so it’s likely they will do the same again. If you do want to fly with Azores, we advise signing up to Jack's Flight Club (that's us) to make sure you know as soon as those low fares land.
British Airways
If you live in the UK, and especially if you live in London, the British Airways sale is always one to watch out for. They fly to pretty much everywhere you’re interested in travelling to.
The flag carrier is launching new flights to Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar in May 2027, and Buenos Aires will be promoted back to a non-stop service. Plus, there will be increased services to Rio de Janeiro, Costa Rica, Cape Town, Las Vegas, and Barbados.
If you’re looking to go to any major US or Canadian city or to one of their many Caribbean island destinations, their Black Friday sale is likely a good time to book, too.
They usually have sales at the end of August and from Boxing Day on, but British Airways jumped into the Black Friday game properly in 2018 to bridge the gap between their main sale seasons.
In 2024, the bulk of the UK sale was made up of short-haul flights. Discounts from mainland Europe seemed a little more diverse, but still very USA-heavy. The stand-outs were India and Mexico.
In 2025, we mostly saw trips to North America and India, with a sprinkling of Europe and Shanghai. Unfortunately, BA’s end-of-summer sale prices were cheaper than their Black Friday prices.
Through the years
2018: Business class flights to the USA in low £900s rtn & some to Asia, like South Korea at £839 rtn.
2019: An unimpressive sale, overshadowed by their summer and winter holiday season sales.
2020: BA issued a 20% discount code for all flights, which led to some of the best prices we've seen. Sydney at £520 rtn, Barbados at £315 rtn, Mauritius at £387 rtn and much more.
2021: Pretty average again, their other sales this year had better deals. Virgin Atlantic bested their fares on any route they both fly.
2022: BA focused all their attention on the US, with their cheapest fares non-stop from London to the East Coast, West Coast and Florida. The best was Orlando at £280 rtn.
2023: Short-haul across mainland Europe from the UK in £40s-£90s. Some decent economy and premium economy North America fares from mainland Europe.
2024: Across Europe and the USA from the UK (£60s-£480s rtn) and across the USA, Canada & Mexico from mainland Europe (€360s-€580s rtn).
2025: The US, Canada, and Europe in £80s-£550s/€80s-€370s rtn from the UK and IE & Across USA and Canada in €350s-€490s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
Fares to North America and parts of Europe are guaranteed. We’ve got our fingers crossed for reduced fares to new routes like Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, and non-stop to Buenos Aires.
BA had an end-of-summer sale at the end of August that lasted for a whole month. A couple of routes were decently priced, but the majority were nothing special, with Virgin undercutting them by nearly £100 on most of their shared North American destinations. Hopefully, that means they will be more generous with Black Friday, but as they have had a sale so recently, we won’t be holding our breath.
Cabo Verde Airlines
A predictable smaller airline but with a welcome offering, usually for non-stop flights to Cape Verde (unsurprisingly).
Sales the last two years have seen reasonably priced trips to São Vicente and Praia, but only from Paris of the cities we cover. But keep an eye on them if you live near Lisbon, too!
Through the years
2024: Cape Verde at €316 rtn from Paris.
2025: Cape Verde at €366 rtn from Paris.
What to expect in 2026
We would expect non-stop flights from Paris to São Vicente and Praia to make another appearance, and maybe Sal as well. Standard fares this year have been high, so we expect any reduced fares to go quickly.
The airline did discount non-stop fares from Paris in an end-of-summer sale in late September, which were priced lower than 2025’s Black Friday sale. We’re curious to see whether this year’s Black Friday sale will go even lower, or be higher given the recent sale. There's also a chance that their newly introduced transatlantic routes may distract from our European stalwarts.
Cathay Pacific
Cheaper flights with this airline really dried up during the pandemic, sadly. We used to see them all the time, but in we’ve rarely seen good value fares in the years since. However, this year we’ve seen them making more of an effort, with cheaper trips to East Asia, South East Asia, and Australia.
For the UK, 2025’s Black Friday was surprisingly good. Although Hong Kong was excluded from their offering, there were various Chinese cities at a decent price, including over Lunar New Year.
For the EU, Cathay knocked €150 off various routes. However, this didn’t reduce the base price enough to meet our standards.
A nice bonus is that their cheap prices usually work from Manchester too.
Through the years
2017: London to Bali at £374 rtn
2018: No BF sale, but they did a Christmas sale to South East Asia & Australia.
2019: No BF sale.
2020: BF sale with 25% off if you buy two or more tickets. Deals to Hong Kong, South East Asia & Australia.
2021-2022: BF sale announced, but deals were unimpressive.
2023: BF sale announced over a week early on 16th November with £75 off their economy/premium economy fares. Still not low enough for us!
2024: BF announced but still too pricey for us.
2025: China in £430s-£490s rtn from the UK.
What to expect in 2026
Cathay’s surprisingly good offer last year came as a real surprise, so we’re hoping they do a similar thing this year, although with more destinations and departures. But don’t get your hopes up too much. There’s always a chance they slip into old habits of not giving us anything good enough.
Last year they announced their sale a week before Black Friday and finished a week later, so we'll be paying attention.
Corendon
There’s always a shady one…
In 2024, we found that Corendon had removed their full-sized cabin bag from UK departures. In 2025, there was then no cabin bag included from any departure. They threatened to make up for that with a BOGOF offer - essentially book 2 seats for the price of 1 - however, we could never get the promo to work! Also, the only viable route was to Antalya.
The standalone prices were okay from Germany, but for the UK, they were one of the worst airline sales of Black Friday 2025. Too pricey, and other airlines were just better.
Through the years
2023: Turkey in €130s-€150s from Germany.
2024: Turkey in €120s-€190s from Germany.
2025: Antalya in €100s-€140s rtn from Germany
What to expect in 2026
Trips to Turkey from Germany at decent prices. We did see some cheaper fares to Egypt and Greece in late spring, so hopefully we'll see those come back for Black Friday. Just be aware of any more shady bag business…
Cyprus Airways
Throughout the year, we never see fares from Cyprus Airways at a price worth covering in comparison to what budget airlines offer. But like clockwork, Black Friday will see the ever-reliable airline release cheap fares from Paris to Larnaca.
And with a cabin bag included, it’s worth paying a bit more than for the budget carriers.
Through the years
2023: Larnaca in €90s-€100s rtn non-stop from Paris.
2024: Larnaca in €150s-€160s rtn non-stop from Paris.
2025: Larnaca in €140s-€180s rtn non-stop from Paris
What to expect in 2026
Each Black Friday, this airline ups their fares a little, and 2025 saw a reduction in available travel dates too. If they play the same game this year, we strongly advise weighing up your other options from easyJet, Ryanair and Transavia just in case they offer a better deal.
easyJet
Until the pandemic, there wasn’t much interest in Black Friday sales from easyJet, but they’re fully on board now!
Their 2020 sale was special because the flights covered peak summer for the year ahead, although nobody knew at the time if they'd be able to travel then or not. It turns out the answer was "kind of."
The year after was much more modest with dates, but we did see highlights like Cyprus and the Canary Islands for around £30-£40 rtn.
While they brought back some nicer early-summer dates in 2022, they kept their 2023, 2024 and 2025 sale to winter/spring dates.
You also had to have your eye on the ball in 2025 as they changed their sales every few days, initially offering warmer destinations like Spain, Malta and Portugal, and then changing to cooler places like Iceland, Denmark, and Finland.
Through the years
2020: Sale on all their routes, including trips in peak summer 2021 in £40s-£50s rtn.
2021: All of their routes again, but only with winter dates. Prices in £30s-£40s rtn, but a cabin bag is now extra.
2022: Better than 2021! With trips across Europe, Morocco and Turkey in the £30s-£80s rtn, but this time with dates all the way into April-June.
2023: Multi-day sale over Black Friday week. One way flights across Europe under £/€20.
2024: Multi-day sale over Black Friday week. Flights across Europe in £20s-£60s rtn/€40s-€80s rtn.
2025: Multi-day sale over Black Friday week. Flights across Europe in £20s-£70s rtn/€40s-€80s rtn.
What to expect in 2026
Low prices to various European cities over winter/spring. Sadly, the hope of summer trips is ever dwindling.
In 2025, they also had a 30th birthday sale a couple of weeks before Black Friday, with prices even cheaper. Hopefully, in 2026 they’ll focus all efforts on Black Friday.
Egyptair
EgyptAir is not an airline we come across often. In fact, we only saw one fare worth sending you as a Flight Guide from the UK/Europe in the last year.
But they knock Black Friday out of the park…mostly. In 2024, we saw cheap trips from the UK and Europe, and even noticed a few rarer spots in Eritrea and Uganda that we hardly ever see going cheap. In 2025, we were treated to a load of trips from the UK & Ireland to Egypt, South Africa and Kenya, at prices that undercut British Airways. And they include a checked bag!
The one negative thing? Last year, prices from other European departures were just too high for us to warrant sending your way.
Through the years
2024: Egypt, South Africa, Tanzania & more in £390s-£490s rtn from the UK/€380s-€580s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Egypt, South Africa & more in £350s-£490s/€490s rtn
What to expect in 2026
Honestly, we’ve grown used to amazing offers from Egyptair, so we’re expecting another knock-out Black Friday sale, with fares in the £300s-£400s. We’re just hoping prices drop low enough from mainland Europe too.
Emirates
We would love to see Emirates get into the Black Friday sale game again because their last one in 2018 was such a banger. It has been eight years already, though, c’mon!
That legendary sale covered most of their destinations in Asia & Oceania and was made even more exciting by the possibility of combining destinations into one big trip.
You could find trips to Australia with a stop in Thailand on the way there and a stop in Bali on the way back, all for around £700-£750 rtn. Plus, it worked from all of their UK departures: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Since then, Emirates haven’t done anything on Black Friday that we'd consider worth mentioning. And even standard fares over the years have rarely dropped to a decent price.
Through the years
2018 : Deals to Australia/New Zealand in £600s rtn and most of Southeast/East Asia in £370s-£450s rtn.
2022-2025: Nothing from Emirates—still waiting for those elusive fares.
What to expect in 2026
Not much. Though given the disruption we've seen to flights through the Middle East this year, perhaps they'll surprise us in an effort to fill seats.
If you like flying with a swankier airline, it’s worth checking whether they announce anything (or join Jack’s Flight Club, so you get a heads-up), but the chances of a big Black Friday sale are pretty slim.
Etihad
2024 wasn’t the most memorable Black Friday for Etihad, but it wasn’t necessarily bad. Simply fine. A similar case for 2025, although they were undercut by Qatar on a few routes.
Through the years
2024: South East Asia, India, Oman and more in £410s-£590s rtn from the UK. Kenya, South Africa and India in €500s-€590s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Thailand, India, South Korea and more in €410s-€590s rtn from mainland Europe & Malaysia, Kenya, Singapore and more in £410s-£530s & €450s-€540s rtn from the UK & IE
What to expect in 2026
Since the conflict in the Middle East broke out, Etihad has dropped some fares considerably. We’ve even seen some rarer destinations pop up too, like Cambodia and Japan. However, as fewer flights are cancelled, we are noticing fewer drops. Obviously, there is less need for them to claw back cash from refunds.
They could drop prices again this coming Black Friday by a good amount. However, it is worth being aware of the T&Cs in case your flight is cancelled. Certainly, one to keep an eye on.
Eurostar
Yep, you read that right. We now keep tabs on Eurostar trains and occasionally turn into Jack's Train Club whenever there's a decent sale.
Luckily, Eurostar tends to lower its fares every couple of months and doesn’t shy away from peak-summer dates. It’s a pretty perfect alternative to getting to mainland Europe cheaply, without having to worry about strict luggage restrictions or airport stress (though we're hardly fans of the St. Pancras holding pen.)
We’re usually pretty big fans of Eurostar, but in 2024 we felt a little gaslit: they showed up at the start of Black Friday week claiming ‘We don’t do Black Friday sales’. And then they had the audacity to go and hold a sale anyway, labelling it a ‘30th Birthday’ sale.
Someone thinks they’re too good for a Black Friday sale… And our theory seems to ring true, as Eurostar also didn’t have a Black Friday sale in 2025, but still had an early November sale. The cheek of it!
Through the years
2023: London<>mainland Europe in £70s/€30s-€80s rtn.
2024: A 30th birthday sale offering London<>Europe in £50s-£70s/€30s-€60s rtn.
2025: London<>Europe in £50s/€40s-€60s rtn
What to expect in 2026
A sale on or near Black Friday that totally isn’t a Black Friday sale in disguise… featuring train journeys between London and Europe with winter dates. Christmas markets, anyone?
Eurowings
In 2025, Eurowings kicked off their EU sale on the Friday before Black Friday and ended it on Travel Tuesday, with travel dates over the whole year. There was a real variety of routes too, including Lapland, Madeira, and Greece. Crucially, however, some routes only had very limited dates within the next couple of months.
We decided against covering fares from the UK because you required a Miles & More card, and trips seemed to be limited to Hamburg.
Through the years
2023: Up to 35% off short-haul fares including Spain and Egypt in €50s-€120s rtn from Germany.
2024: Across Germany from the UK in £80s-£110s rtn/ Egypt, Georgia and more from mainland Europe in €60s-€280s rtn.
2025: Lapland, Dubai, Madeira, and more mainland Europe in €60s-€290s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
For a second year in a row now, they've treated Germany to cheap Egypt trips, so let's see if they can make it a hat trick.
We're a bit sceptical that they'll be as generous to their UK departures, since we haven't spotted any fare cheap enough for our standards all year, except one rogue Glasgow - Hanover summer route.
French Bee
French Bee is a low-cost, long-haul airline we don’t hear from all too often. They don’t always take part, but we have seen them make an appearance during Black Friday sales previously.
They fly non-stop to a few spots Stateside, along with Réunion Island and Tahiti.
Sadly, their baggage prices are fairly steep, so you may need to travel light if you wanna make the most of their cheap fares.
Through the years
2024: Réunion, Miami, & New York in €320s-€480s rtn from Paris.
2025: non-stop to Los Angeles & Miami in €320s-€360s rtn from Paris.
What to expect in 2026
Although we were impressed by their previous Black Friday offers, you should know that we were even more impressed by their surprise New Year sale a month later.
They burst back onto our screens with even lower fares than we'd seen in November, and the real shocker… a free checked bag!
Our advice for this year? If you aren't impressed with their Black Friday sale, hold your nerve in case something better comes along.
Iberia
Iberia flies to loads of different countries, but it’s usually only their fares to the Americas that we deem worthy of your attention. Whenever they announce a sale, we always jump on it juuust in case they include some of their rarer destinations like Lima or Buenos Aires.
Last year, they answered our prayers from Europe, offering cheap flights to Brazil and Colombia. From the UK, routes included Spain, the US, and even Peru! Their flight prices may not give the biggest savings, but their free cabin bag still makes short-haul routes more appealing compared to other airlines.
You could also get a slight discount on Iberia Express fares by signing up as a 'Club Express Member', so you may want to do that in advance this time around—and yes, as of writing this, it is free to join.
Through the years
2023: *prem eco* Bogotá
in €740s-€870s rtn from Europe.
2024: Madrid in €70s-€140s rtn and Panama in €470s-€490s rtn from mainland Europe. Spain in £60s-£100s rtn from the UK.
2025: Spain in £70s rtn, and Brazil & Colombia in £530s-£590s rtn.
What to expect in 2026
If Iberia makes an appearance in 2026, it’ll likely be another round of Central/South America. This year's more recent finds have included Italy, Portugal, and Costa Rica, so perhaps we’ll see a broader range of destinations this Black Friday. But Madrid is pretty much guaranteed.
Icelandair
Iceland Air
After previously staying silent throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday, they surprised us all with a flash ‘Travel Tuesday’ sale. Yes, apparently that’s a thing now.
Through the years
2024: Across the US, Canada, Iceland in £80s-£450s rtn (Travel Tuesday sale).
2025: Across the US, Canada, and Iceland in £90s-£420s rtn from London, Glasgow & Manchester. The sale only technically included Iceland fares, but it made for cheap connections.
What to expect in 2026
After showing up the last two years, they absolutely might pop up again this time round—what day though, who knows!
If we’ve learnt anything from their summer sale, it's that the US, Canada, and Iceland are pretty much guaranteed to drop in price - sometimes even more so if you build in a long layover in Reykjavik. Nice Greenland fares do pop up occasionally, but we wouldn’t hold our breath…
jetBlue
Back in 2022, they took us all by surprise and undercut their competitors’ prices by £50+. On top of that, they were charging about half what the others were for a bag upgrade.
We really hope they make a comeback, as you can usually connect through JFK to reach cities that may otherwise be tricky to get to, like Burlington, Richmond, Raleigh and Syracuse. Basically, they unlock most of the eastern USA.
Sadly, for the past three years, they’ve only graced the USA and Canada with a Black Friday sale.
Through the years
2022: London to USA in £300s-£420s rtn
2023-2025: No BF sale announced from UK/mainland Europe.
What to expect in 2026
While we're still crossing our fingers for a 2022-style comeback, we wouldn't count on it. We generally only see Jack’s-worthy fares for domestic trips across the pond.
Jet2
This is another airline that one-ups their low-cost rivals by, remarkably, including a cabin bag.
We have been pretty impressed with the selection of routes on offer from Jet2 in the past. Last year gave us a decent mix of snowy mountains and warmer beachy spots, and with a nice spread of dates.
The only thing that was a little fishy was the fact that they initially launched a sale in early November, and then it kind of just morphed into their Black Friday sale, all with an ‘until further notice’ end date. Which, to us, sounds like they’ve just got commitment issues.
Through the years
2023: 10% off flights from November-March, including Spain and Austria, under £90 rtn from the UK.
2024: Across Europe in £70s-£180s rtn including some Easter dates.
2025: Switzerland, Turkey, Austria & more in £40s-£120s rtn. Sale launched in October.
What to expect in 2026
It's likely we'll see a very similar offering from Jet2 this year, with some ambiguous launch/end dates to navigate. Expect lots of winter-sun spots on offer - they sure do know how to cater to a UK market. They may look a bit pricier compared to Ryanair or easyJet's sales, but it's absolutely worth doing some cabin bag maths!
LATAM
Gone are the heady days of that cheap LATAM non-stop to Lima. Now we place all our hopes on their Sao Paulo connection providing the goods. They've been a little quiet across the board this year, so hopefully that means they're cooking up something big!
Through the years
2023: Non-stop Peru in £500s-£550s rtn from the UK.
2024: Montevideo, Uruguay in £670s-£680s rtn.
2025: Nothing officially labelled as a Black Friday deal made the cut for us, but fares to Buenos Aires were seen in €700s-780s in November.
What to expect in 2026
After last year’s underwhelming display, it’s pretty uncertain how LATAM will approach this year’s sale season. What little we have seen from them in 2026 has been fairly exciting, though, including great-value first-class fares, drops on premium economy trips to Bolivia, and bargain prices for Easter on Easter Island. We reckon there’s more where that came from, so keep your fingers crossed for a South American spring adventure!
Loganair
Loganair’s fares are usually on the pricier side, so we don’t tend to cover them often. They mainly operate regional flights within the UK, including some pretty remote places like the Shetland Islands, so it’s always worth checking in whenever they hold a sale.
Through the years
2024: Shetland Islands, Isle of Man and more in £70s-£190s/€80s rtn from the UK/Ireland.
2025: *peak summer* Shetland Islands, Jersey, Isle of Man, and more in £80s-£190s rtn from the UK
What to expect in 2026
We don't think we'll get anything wildly out of the ordinary from Loganair this year, but after this year’s summer sale offering, we’d say peak summer fares to places like the Shetland Islands and the Hebrides could be on the cards.
LOT Polish Airlines
Considering 2024 was LOT’s first Black Friday appearance, they certainly made an impact by offering one of the most eclectic bundles of the year. Their trips to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan got us pretty excited for 2025, but sadly they ended up a little more limited last time around.
Through the years
2024: Caucasus, Central and South Asia
in €210s-€470s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Poland in €80s-€190s & India in €470s-€540s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
We haven't seen much at all from LOT this year away from sales, so it may be a case of all or nothing. Their summer sale from Europe sure did give us hope, though, with one of the lowest fares from Paris to South Korea we’ve seen in a good while.
Hopefully they've been saving up the bulk of their cheap-fare energy for a bit of Black Friday madness, so we can all get a little more Seoul in our lives. It’s definitely worth keeping an eye out to see if there's a return of the rarer routes too!
Luxair
Luxair’s fellow budget airlines usually outdo them on pure price, but at least they still include a cabin bag when the others don’t. That means they do, on occasion, still end up being cheaper overall.
In the past, they have treated us to real peak-summer trips (yes, even July and August!), something the other budget airlines rarely accomplish, and their last couple of Black Friday sales have included a decent range of European fares.
Through the years
2023: *non-stop* Dubai at €349 rtn from Luxembourg.
2024: Balearic Islands, Ljubljana, Luxembourg, and more in €90s-€130s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Luxembourg in £80s-£120s/€110s-€120s rtn from the UK & IE / Across Europe in €80s-€130s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
We've seen quite a few decent fares from Luxair this year, especially around summer, so we're almost certain they'll give us some goods in the sale period. We'd say plenty of European and Moroccan routes are a safe bet for Luxembourg departures, maybe with a touch of peak summer too, if we're lucky. And fingers crossed for more Cape Verde trips like the ones we caught back in May!
Nouvelair Tunisie
If you're looking for a cheap trip to Tunisia, Nouvelair Tunisie is probably your best bet. As of writing this, they still include a full-size cabin bag in economy for all routes. Plus, their checked bag upgrade is pretty cheap, usually around 50% cheaper than easyJet, which runs seasonal routes to Enfidha. They don’t usually do anything huge for Black Friday, but it's worth keeping an eye out in November, juuuust in case.
2023: non-stop to Tunisia in €110s-€170s rtn from mainland Europe/ £100 from London.
2024: Announced a sale, but nothing cheap enough to catch our eye, due to the fact we already covered their November birthday sale from the UK/mainland Europe.
2025: non-stop to Tunis at £93 rtn from London / non-stop across Tunisia in €100s-€260s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
If Nouvelair Tunisie does reappear again with (surprise, surprise) more Tunisia trips, it will likely be quite limited from the UK, potentially just London to Tunis. Europe typically gets a few more routes included, so we may see places like Djerba pop up too.
Norwegian Air
Norwegian went all in on sale season in 2025, going hard on routes to every corner of Norway from the UK, and dropping fares from Scandinavia on their winter sun routes to Morocco and the UAE..
Then came Travel Tuesday, and they returned for one last hurrah with a discount code for more regional routes between the UK, Europe and Scandinavia. Honestly, we’re surprised they had anything left to give.
But with Norwegian, it’s not always as simple as Black Friday week, as they have been known to kick off early with some absolutely cracking fares. With that in mind, we suggest keeping tabs on them as soon as November hits and checking how the sale progresses over the various days.
Through the years
2023: Scandinavia in £50s-£80s rtn from the UK. The UK, Spain, Poland and more in €20s-€80s rtn from Scandinavia.
2024: Norway, Sweden & more... in £60s-£80s rtn from the UK.
2025: Black Friday — Norway in £70s-£180s rtn from the UK / Scandinavia, Morocco, the UAE and more in €80s-€300s rtn from mainland Europe. Travel Tuesday — Norway in £80s-£190s rtn from Manchester & Edinburgh / Sweden, Norway, and Denmark in €70s-€190s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
We expect to see a repeat of lots of Scandinavian routes from the UK and Europe, and potentially some lovely winter sun across Europe from Scandinavia. And if you’re hoping for a last-minute trip to visit Santa, there’s a good chance Lapland might come up, too!
Just in case Norwegian launch their sale early, though, you wanna make sure you’re signed up to Jack's Flight Club so you don't miss out!
Ryanair
A bit of a change of pace with everyone’s favourite airline (we joke, of course). Ryanair runs a 'sale' almost every second day, but we have noticed that their Black Friday sales until 2022 were stronger than their typical stuff.
In particular, their “BOGOF” sale in 2021: two tickets for the price of one. You and your travel buddy get cheaper tickets, Ryanair fills two seats - it’s win-win.
Sadly, 2022 and 2023 didn’t quite live up to the hype. Instead of a “BOGOF”, we got a “BOGOHP”: buy one, get one half price. Not as snappy (nor as good value) as recent years.
In 2024 and 2025, they seemed to throw everything at the wall in the hope that something would stick. And by that, we mean they held a different promo every day of Black Friday week, including Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday. From the return of "BOGOHP" to vague statements like “Flights from £19.99”.
It is worth noting that their sale usually only includes winter dates—not the more popular times to travel. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some European Christmas markets or winter sun destinations, though. :-)
Through the years
2019: Buy one, get one free all over Europe, including Greece & the Canary Islands.
2020: £10 flights, mostly to Italy & Central/Eastern Europe.
2021: Buy one, get one free all over Europe.
2022: Buy one, get one half price, with a focus on winter dates.
2023: Buy one, get one half price, with a focus on winter dates. A follow-up ‘cyber week’ sale saw a selection of fares under £25.
2024: Across Europe & Morocco in €20s-€50s rtn from mainland Europe. Spain, Turkey, Italy and more in £40s-£50s rtn from the UK.
2025: Across Europe in €20/£30-€40s/£50s rtn, including Italy, Spain and Croatia.
What to expect in 2026
Whether it comes in the shape of a BOGOF deal, or just some solid price drops, we can guarantee there'll be some cheap winter fares on offer from Ryanair this Black Friday—maybe even for a last-minute Christmas market trip!
And since they usually include most of their routes, there should be something in there for you. Ryanair can’t resist a good old sale, after all :-)
Rwandair
We used to see a lot of RwandAir back in the day, but in the last couple of years, cheap Kigali fares have been pretty thin on the ground.
Whenever they do pop up again, look out for dates in June-September and mid-December to early-February, when it’s gorilla trekking high season.
Currently, they still offer 2 checked bags in economy, which is a rare treat in the airline world.
Through the years
2023: Rwanda & South Africa in €380s-€430s rtn from Paris.
2024: Announced a sale but nothing impressive enough for our standards.
2025: Announced a sale but nothing impressive enough for our standards.
What to expect in 2026
We're hoping the past 2 years were just a blip, and we get a repeat of 2023 with some Kigali and Jo'Burg action. Though, if the lack of cheap fares we've seen from them this year is anything to go by, we won't be getting our hopes up.
SAS
For the past couple of years, SAS has mostly focussed their Black Friday sale on short-haul economy.
But what’s really nice is that they tend to include a whole bunch of harder to reach spots like Luleå (AKA Swedish Lapland) and Sälen.
Don’t forget that SAS has a pretty decent year-round youth discount scheme, offering at least 10% off all economy fares for anyone under the age of 26.
Through the years
2023: *business class* USA in £1210s-£1330s rtn from the UK and economy USA & Canada in €250s-€360s rtn from Scandinavia.
2024: Scandinavia in £80s-£130s rtn from the UK / €70s-€190s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Across Scandinavia in £90s-£190s & €70s-€140s rtn from the UK & IE / Across the US, Canada, and Europe in €30s-€470s rtn from mainland Europe. Both included harder to reach spots like Svalbard.
What to expect in 2026
SAS has already had a seriously impressive year when it comes to sales. Mostly linked to the airline's 80th anniversary. So, it’ll be hard for them to top what we’ve already seen. But honestly if we could have a mix of the previous three years, with long-haul, short-haul, economy, and business, that'd be great!
SAS often delivers on cheap US flights from Scandinavia in particular, but judging by what we've seen so far this year, we'll also be keeping an eye out for some discounted trips to Seoul.
Saudia
This airline is another one that has previously stayed quiet on Black Friday, only to surprise us with a huge Cyber Monday/Travel Tuesday sale.
In 2024, they offered up to 20% off flights, which equated to some big savings on rarer routes like Mauritius and Manila.
For more info on the Saudia flying experience, you can have a read of our very honest airline review here!
Through the years
2024: South East Asia, China, India, and more in £340s-£490s rtn from the UK.
2025: No announced Black Friday sale
What to expect in 2026
Despite their Black Friday absence last year, we haven’t lost all hope for Saudia just yet. Travel disruptions in the Middle East may have resulted in them having extra seats to shift, so we wouldn’t be too surprised if they dropped another big Black Friday sale.
Singapore Airlines
Until a couple of years ago, it was a reasonably safe bet when sale season came around that you could grab a deal on Singapore Airlines’ route from Manchester to Houston. Sadly, that fifth-freedom flight was axed in 2025 — boo!
Luckily, they kept us nice and distracted last year with some cheap non-stop trips to their hub in Singapore.
Keep in mind, it’s not uncommon for Singapore Airlines to do random non-seasonal sales with great deals to South East Asia, so this isn’t the only time of year you’ll be able to grab these tickets.
Through the years
2018: Manchester to Houston at £325 rtn.
2019: Manchester to Houston at £364 rtn & Australia in £630s rtn from London.
2020-2023 : Either no BF deal announced or nothing low enough for our standards.
2024: Singapore in £440s-£570s rtn from the UK.
2025: Announced a sale but nothing impressive enough for our standards
What to expect in 2026
Judging by recent years, it’s likely that Singapore Airlines will hold a Black Friday sale, but whether it will be any good is another matter entirely.
They did hold an end of summer sale, but only non-stop fares to their hub in Singapore were cheap enough for our standards. Hopefully, we'll see a bigger selection of routes again for Black Friday.
Star Alliance (SWISS, Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Air Canada)
Pre-2024, none of the Star Alliance member airlines ever held any groundbreaking Black Friday sales that we would deem cheap enough to cover.
But over the past two Black Fridays, we noticed a handful of standout routes. None of the airline sales were strong enough to stand on their own (in part because a lot of them just repeated the same fares), so we decided to bundle them all together and list our favourite routes between them.
Through the years
2024: USA, Canada, Asia and more in €170s-€680s rtn from mainland Europe/£350s-£570s rtn from the UK.
2025: South Africa, Canada, Hong Kong and more in £220s-£580s & €410s-€480s rtn from the UK & IE / Asia, Canada, USA, and more in €140s-€590s rtn from mainland Europe — a bundle of all Star Alliance airlines' sales.
What to expect in 2026
Honestly, a repeat of the past two years would be great! It’s been a treat to see the alliance members join in with the Black Friday chaos, so we’re optimistic they’ll make it a hat trick.
But in particular, we’ve got our hopes set on them including some posher fares in Premium Economy or Business Class.
TAP Air Portugal
Over the past five years, TAP has been a consistent player of the Black Friday game. Often discounting an eclectic bunch of world-wide routes.
As long as you're mindful of the occasionally (very) long layover in Lisbon, they’re not a bad option, considering they still give you a full-sized cabin bag — something that’s becoming rarer and rarer.
Through the years
2020: The best fares were a random assortment of Montreal and Cape Town in £340s-£380s rtn
2022: London, Manchester and Dublin to Lisbon and Porto in £60s-£70s
2023: BF sale announced the week before Black Friday. Europe, Africa, South & North America in €60s-€560s rtn from mainland Europe and £290s-£460s rtn from London/Manchester.
2024: North America, Brazil, Africa and more in £170s-£490s rtn from the UK. The Azores, Brazil, Cape Verde, and more... in €150s-€590s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Brazil, Cape Verde, and Senegal in £290s-£590s/€540s-€570s rtn from the UK & IE / €250s-€650s rtn from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
It's safe to say we've got high hopes this year! They’ve already teased us with an impressive summer sale, which mostly covered mid-haul destinations like Cape Verde and the Azores. Hopefully, we’ll get a few more long-haul discounts by Black Friday.
We’ll also be keeping on eye out for any reductions on their new ‘economy prime’ cabin class, which gives you a guaranteed empty neighbouring seat.
TUI
Ahh TUI, an airline we love to hate. We love the fact they fly non-stop to sun-soaked places like Cancun and Montego Bay. We also love their insane prices for long-haul fares in the £300s (or even less). Buuut, we hate that the trips worth telling you about are usually all short notice.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t help but notice them gradually axing routes over the past 3 years. Varadero, Cuba was the first to go at the end of 2024. Then Liberia, Costa Rica and Saint Lucia in Spring 2025. We haven’t noticed any disappearing routes so far this year, but it’s a good reminder not to take any for granted. So if you do spot a £300 return flight to Cancun that leaves in 3 days time, this is all the more reason to jump on it.
Through the years
2023: *non-stop* Egypt, Dominican Republic, Cape Verde and more in £170s-£430s rtn from the UK.
2024: Announced a sale, but nothing cheap enough for our standards.
2025: Canaries, Egypt, Mexico and more in £50s-£460s rtn from the UK / Egypt, Zanzibar, Cape Verde and more in €110s-€440s from mainland Europe
What to expect in 2026
Hopefully we see a more 2023-style sale to some far-flung places like the Caribbean, or to Cape Verde — easyJet now covers a route over to Sal from London, Bristol, Manchester and Amsterdam, too, but keep in mind that TUI includes the cabin bag!
It's always worth noting with TUI that you'll often get the cheapest fares by booking at the verrrrrrry last-minute. So if you don't plan to travel for a while, it may be worth waiting it out.
United Airlines
The exception to our quiet Star Alliance history: United. The airline doesn't always show up for Black Friday, but when they do, they usually hit big.
As a US airline, you won’t be surprised to hear that their cheapest flights generally cover the USA. Luckily, this sometimes includes Hawaii, as we discovered in 2020.
They came back to the Black Friday game with a mediocre offering in 2024, but last year saw them offer a sale on a wide range of routes with their fellow Star Alliance airlines.
Through the years
2018: An excellent non-stop to the USA deal from across the UK in £230s-£280s rtn.
2019: No BF sale.
2020: Hawaii from across the UK in £470s-£500s rtn.
2021-2023: No BF sale.
2024: £/€50 off standard fare prices.
2025: South Africa, Canada, Hong Kong and more in £220s-£580s & €410s-€480s rtn from the UK & IE / Asia, Canada, USA, and more in €140s-€590s rtn from mainland Europe — a bundle of all Star Alliance airlines' sales.
What to expect in 2026
It's quite difficult to judge this one since we don't have a whole lot of recent sale history to go off. But, it’s looks like 2024 was the warm-up before they went all out in 2025. So, we're optimistic they’ll keep the discounts rolling this year.
If we could wish for anything, though, it’s for those 2020 Hawaii fares to make a comeback.
Virgin Atlantic
This long-time rival of British Airways is always going toe-to-toe with them during sales. The winner changes from year to year, so it's important to weigh up both your options before you book. Since there isn’t a guarantee that both sales will begin at the exact same time, you’ll need to factor in if it’s worth holding out to see what the other offers. Honestly, though, it's usually only a matter of hours you'll need to wait.
Virgin Atlantic does fly non-stop to a few destinations that British Airways doesn’t:
Orlando (from Manchester)
Barbados (from Manchester)
They used to fly non-stop to Havana , Lahore and Islamabad from London too, but these flights were axed during the pandemic. They have introduced a new route to Seoul this year, though, so they're making up for it.
The turn-out has been surprisingly thin on the ground these past two years compared to previous year’s bundles, and sales at other times of the year (particularly at the end of summer) have offered better prices and routes.
Through the years
2017: Deals to Dubai (£259 rtn), the USA (£310s-£340s rtn w/bags) and the Caribbean (£430s rtn).
2018: Deals to Dubai (£281 rtn), China (£380s rtn) and the Caribbean (£380s-£410s rtn).
2019: Deals to the Caribbean (£390s-£450s rtn)
2020: Excellent deals to all of their destinations. E.g. Caribbean in £320s rtn, California/Las Vegas in £300s rtn.
2021: Deals to all of their destinations in both economy & premium economy. For example, NY/Boston in £270s rtn, Antigua at £303 rtn in economy and £480s rtn, £726 rtn in premium economy.
2022: Non-stop deals to India and a rare route to Saint Vincent were discounted nicely (in the £420s-£450s rtn). Later in the week they reduced their premium economy flights to Osaka, Cancún and lots of US cities.
2023: Started making reductions a few days before Black Friday, and then announced an official sale on the day. Caribbean & the USA in £320s-£520s rtn/*prem eco* in £720s-£1090s rtn from the UK.
2024: Delhi, Barbados & Antigua in £390s-£440s rtn from the UK.
2025: India, South Africa, the USA and Canada in £400s-£580s rtn from London. Many fares were cheaper during their end of summer sale.
What to expect in 2026
Virgin dropping a Black Friday sale is pretty much a given at this point, but how it compares to British Airways' offering is always hard to predict.
For context, British Airways were the definite winners in the Black Friday battle between the two airlines last year. But Virgin did offer a much more compelling end-of-summer sale this year by significantly undercutting BA on routes across North America. We love to see it.
It'll be interesting to see if Virgin can pull anything out of the bag this year and take the crown! Crossing fingers for non-stop flights to Seoul around £450 rtn (please and thank you).
Volotea
Volotea has consistently offered return fares across Europe at a reasonable price and continues to run some one-way fares starting from as little as €9. Sadly, they don’t include a cabin bag in this price, so don’t forget to factor that in before celebrating their cheap fares. Think: Spanish easyJet or Wizz Air.
Also, watch out when try to book on their website. They really try every trick in the book to get you to sign up to their loyalty program, Megavolotea.
Through the years
2023: Italy, Spain & France in €40s-€80s rtn from mainland Europe.
2024: Europe in €30s-€100s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: France and Italy in €30s-€90s rtn from mainland Europe, included islands like Corsica and Sardinia.
What to expect in 2026
It would be great to see more of the super cheap €9 fares again, but it's likely the sale will be very similar to 2025 if they run another.
Keep in mind that their sales often only last a couple of days, so you may want to get in early to bag the best fares!
Widerøe
Widerøe sprung up on our Black Friday radar back in 2022 with some super peak-summer routes to Norway, which just so happens to be the right time to do all that fjord stuff. Lovely.
Despite them having a pricey moment in 2023, the past two years they've delivered a great round up of Norwegian cities, all the way into the deepest depths of the Arctic Circle.
Through the years
2022: Aberdeen to Bergen/Stavanger in peak summer in £90s-£110s rtn
2023: Announced BF sale from 21st-27th November, but it was too expensive in comparison to what we’ve seen previously.
2024: Norway in £60s-£110s rtn from the UK /€70s-€150s rtn from mainland Europe.
2025: Norway in £90s-£140s & €90s-€150s rtn from the UK & IE / Norway, Scotland and Sweden in €80s-€170s rtn from mainland Europe.
What to expect in 2026
The same as last year, hopefully! We've seen peak summer trips included in the sales they've already run this year, so it'd be great to see a repeat of that, ideally spanning a good selection of routes.
It's worth noting, though, that it can be quite tricky to find some of their cheapest fares on the Google Flights calendar, so you may need to stick to using the airline's website or Skyscanner.
Wizz Air
This low-cost airline burst onto the Black Friday scene in 2023, and they've thrown a bunch of Black Friday offers our way every year since.
Often, they take the opportunity to plug their Wizz Club, offering members a bigger discount on top of their sale. You can read our thoughts on whether or not we think it’s worth signing up to it here .
Through the years
2023: ‘Pink Friday’ sale on the 24th with 20% off selected flights and 25% off for Wizz Club members. This included Iceland, Croatia, Turkey and more in £20s-£60s rtn from the UK and rarer destinations like Georgia & Armenia in €20s-€100s rtn from mainland Europe.
2024: Across Europe in €30s-€70s rtn from mainland Europe/£30s-£60s rtn from the UK.
2025: Across Europe in €20s-€90s rtn from mainland Europe/££20s-£50s rtn from the UK
What to expect in 2026
It's likely we'll see a couple of sales during Black Friday from Wizz, and if they're anything like last year, they may just be day-long ones. It'll definitely be worth checking in on their website throughout the week in case a route you like is an early or late drop.
We've got our fingers crossed for some further afield places to pop up again too — we're looking at you, Georgia & Armenia! But we’re fairly confident that they won’t reduce any trips further ahead than March, so we wouldn’t count on them for your sun-scorched summer hols.
And of course, it may be worth looking into the Wizz Club and signing up beforehand as well if you want the best chance at the biggest savings.
Other airlines
Was there another airline you were interested in? There are some big airlines missing from this list, like KLM/Air France, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and more. You might find them on our other article that explains airline sales .
It doesn’t mean they don’t do Black Friday sales, just that we haven’t seen them produce anything that’s truly worth checking out for UK or European travellers, in our expert opinion.
We only share sales that are truly worth it. That means good value and historically low prices when compared against all of their competitors.
So if there’s an airline you like to fly with, it’s always going to be worth checking for a sale on Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Travel Tuesday. Just because we haven’t listed it here, it doesn’t mean they don’t have some discounts.
We would always recommend checking the price of a flight you’re interested in a week or two before sale time so you know exactly how much they’ve actually discounted it on the day. Airlines like to get creative with how they advertise their prices sometimes.
Conclusion
You’re now ready for the big day – you know the history and our predictions for every airline we’ve previously seen Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday sales from in the UK and Europe.
We’ll keep this article up-to-date, so you can bookmark it and use it year after year as a handy sale season money-saving guidebook.
Of course, if you want to know about the sales as they happen, you should sign up for Jack’s Flight Club if you aren’t already a member. Finding the best value flights (all year round) is kinda our thing.
