Sardinia in $740s-$770s RT

Few places in Europe that rival the tropical islands of the Pacific, but Sardinia's definitely one of them. 

And while it lacks the typical palm-studded coast, there's something to be said for limestone and lidos. Cliffs that plunge straight into the sea. 

October is your best bet for sunnier days. Crowds thin out at some of the islands best beaches and moderate temps mean actually enjoying excursions like horse back riding - or hiking one of Italy's toughest treks, The Selvaggio Blu. 

April's magical in its own right. From Holy Week to and all things nougat, the beach resorts may be empty, but the streets are anything but. 

But of course, if you reaaaaaaaaally can't find anything to do, 50 mins and you're in France :-)
