If you make me choose, it's the £35 Luton–Lyon non-stop — that's a return fare for less than a taxi to the airport, to one of France's best food cities, done in a weekend. But the reason this bundle is fun is the range: the same list that gives you a cheap city break also hands you a once-in-a-lifetime run to the Falklands or Niue. Rarely do you get "spontaneous weekend" and "trip of a lifetime" sitting side by side. Pick the one that fits your annual leave and your nerve.
