Marseille in $430s-$450s RT

The oldest city in France has some pretty cool spots of its own (shout-out to the old harbor and the other Notre-Dame), but it's also a perfect entry point to the greater French Riviera.

After landing in Marseille, you're just a 2-hour train ride away from luxurious vacay hotspots like Nice and Cannes. And if you're willing to stretch that rail journey to 3 hours, you'll wind up in Europe's other favorite city-state.

Don't rush straight to the train station, though. Marseille is worth at least a day or two, especially if you're a total Monte Cristohead :-)
