Bali/Indonesia 🌴 in $640s-$850s RT

There are about 17,000 islands in Indonesia, but we'll start with the two biggest ones. We don't want you stuck reading this email all day!

Landing in Denpasar puts you in Bali, the tourism hub of Indonesia. The main attractions are the stunning beaches, but there are also a ton of waterfalls, volcanoes, diving sites, and gorgeous Hindu temples all close by. Bali also has a much more Western vibe, so some travelers find it an easier and more relaxing spot to visit.

Meanwhile, Jakarta (or Surabaya, if you're in SF) is the entry point to Java, the largest island. Java is much more rugged and spread-out, so it takes a bit of effort to really get the most out of it. But it's a more authentic experience, and the beaches, temples, and natural vistas are just as good as Bali's—if not better. You just have to be willing to find them.

You'll have to explore the other ~16,998 islands for yourself :-)
