Well, we're in the depths of summer…so let's talk skiing

We know it feels so wrong to think of snowflakes and chalets this early, but trust us, your wallet will thank you later!

Let's start with the flights. Right now, these low fares run all the way through winter, but we don't expect them to hang around for long. Oh, and in case you were wondering, easyJet charge €102 rtn to bring your ski/snowboard equipment into the hold—which might work out cheaper than renting, depending on the resort you pick.

And speaking of resorts, you've got a bunch to choose from. Up near the top of most skiing blogs, you'll find Chamonix. It's a picture-perfect ski town with world-class slopes only an hour's drive away from Geneva airport. But fair warning, passes and hotels in the area can add up quickly so we advise making reservations ASAP.

For a more budget-friendly option, Les Brasses Resort is only a 45-min drive from the airport and equally beautiful in our opinion :-)
