Bulgaria in $520s-$540s RT

Winter in Bulgaria has a little more bite than in Florida (or even the PNW), but it's soooooo worth the chill.

For one, spots like the Rila Monastery look extra gorgeous in the snow. The same goes for the streets of Sofia, the Rila Mountains... pretty much everywhere, honestly. We're talking full-on winter wonderland vibes here.

There also happens to be a terrific ski resort not far from Sofia. Nothing beats hitting the slopes before warming up with a hearty glass of Bulgarian rakia brandy!

And if you get a little too cold, you can always stop by the local mountain hot springs :-)
