Budapest in $520s RT

Did you know Budapest was once two separate towns that merged together? So a trip there is kinda like a "visit one city, get one free" thing!

On the western side of the Danube River is Buda, the city's stately half. The Castle District is the main draw here, dominated by the sprawling Buda Castle complex. You can spend a whole day just wandering among its cobblestone streets and baroque architecture, but don't forget to come back after the sun goes down. There's actually a third conjoined city called Óbuda here too—it's the most historic district of all.

East of the Danube lies (you guessed it) Pest, the modernized part of the city. Pest is less gorgeous but more lively, featuring a ton of museums, the boutiquey charms of the Jewish Quarter, and the city's famous ruin bars. When you're ready to break from sightseeing old buildings and just have some fun, Pest has got you covered.
