There are some things you just have to see in person. Even if they look incredible online, no pics or videos can ever truly do them justice, you know?

The Sagrada Familia is one of those things. You can watch videos like this one all day long, but you won't get that feeling of awe-inspiring majesty unless you're really standing in it, staring up at the ceiling with your jaw dropped. Pro-tip: Tons of people visit at sunset, when the light creates a gorgeous kaleidoscope effect through the stained-glass windows, but you get a totally different set of colors if you stop by when the sun is rising—and without the crowds.

If you dig the cathedral, double down on Antoni Gaudí by checking out Casa Batlló, the legendary architect's other masterpiece.

Finally, the Tibidabo Amusement Park isn't nearly as majestic, but I'm recommending it because 1) it's the oldest amusement park in Spain, which is pretty cool, 2) it has some stunning mountaintop views of the city, and 3) it's super fun to say. Go on, try it: "Tibidabo" :-)
