Athens in $480s-$500s RT

You know, Athens really isn't that different from your hometown!

Sure, they have a lot more 5,000-year-old ruins. Like, a lot more. And sure, their neighborhoods have a certain jaw-dropping Mediterranean beauty that you can't find this side of the Atlantic.

But after a long day of sightseeing, nothing beats finding a little hole in the wall, tucking into a plate of great food, and listening to someone sing the blues. And that's true whether you're in Athens or Oakland.

That's called rebetiko music, by the way, and you can find it at traditional tavernas all over Athens. Along with some spectacular Greek food, of course :-)
