With stunning natural beauty all around, the Matka Canyon is the definition of a postcard perfect place. And the best part is, it's a suuuuper easy day-trip from Skopje!

A great way of immersing yourself here is by jumping into one of the colourful boats, and taking a tour along the clear water, passing by those dramatic canyon cliffs that surround you. 

And then if you want to see some more of the country, Ohrid is just a couple of hours further south, and is home to maybe the most picturesque church, watching over a bright blue lake.
