Cape Town almost never crosses our flight path, and just like spotting the Big 5, blink too fast and they're gone!

March has some of the temps sitting at a balmy 79°F, but we get it can be tough to whisk yourself off on a whim. And while April–May marks the start of South Africa’s fall, it’s a favorite time to visit for many travelers. The summer crowds have thinned, the weather is pleasantly mild, and the landscapes are painted in rich autumn hues.

Plus, it’s the perfect time to catch the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, one of the biggest music events on the continent, where smooth soulful rhythms drift through the city, all the way up to Table Mountain :-)
