Here's why winter is actually one of our favourite times to visit Athens...

The crowds are as low as they're ever gonna be, so you get to roam around the ruins in peace. You get free entry to all the major monuments (including the Acropolis!) on the first Sunday of every month between November-March.

Annnd if you're really lucky, you may even catch the city with a dusting of snow. Just look at these pretty pics from February 2021 for the proof :-)
